Grevin Wax Museum

This museum has over 300 wax figures recreating some of the major events from both French and World history. The museum has a discovery tour showing you how wax figures are made and also has waxworks depicting some of the important events from the 20th century including the fall of the Berlin wall and the first step on the moon. The museum has a wide variety on show so that everyone will find something that appeals to them.

Open – Monday – Friday 10.00 – 18.30. Saturday, Sunday and French school holidays 10.00 – 19.00. Last admission one hour before closing.

Paris Bus Tour

This is one of the most relaxing ways to discover Paris. The tour itself takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes and includes all the major attractions. There is also 9 stops on this tour which you can get off the tour and explore the attractions in more detail. The buses are every 10-15 minutes at each stop.

The tour departs every 15 minutes in the Winter and every 8 minutes in the Summer.

Montparnasse Towers

This tower is home to the fastest elevator in Europe. In 38 seconds the elevator takes you up over 640 ft to the 56th floor where you can discover Paris from all directions.

From the tower you can see all of Paris’ landmarks and major attractions such as the Eiffel Tower and the Arc De Triomphe for example. The indoor observatory set at the top of the tower is equipped with audiovisual and interactive facilities giving you many opportunities to find out as much or as little as you want about Paris.

Open – 1st April to 30th September, 7 days a week 09:30-23:30.
1st October to 31st March, 7 days a week 09:30-22:30, 23:00 on Fridays and Saturdays.

The last elevator leaves 30 minutes before closing.

Orsay Museum

In the 1900’s the museum was originally built as a train station. 50 years later it was discovered that the original design could not accommodate the modern trains due to the platforms being too short and so it was decided that it would be turned into a theatre. In the 1970’s the building was remodelled again, this time into the museum that it is today. This museum houses artwork from some of the greatest painter such as Monet, Renoir and Van Gogh to name a few. The museum is situated on the banks of the Seine opposite the tuileries gardens.

Open – Tuesday to Sunday 09.30-17.30. Late night on Thursday till 21.30.

Closed – Mondays, 1st January, 1st May and 25th December.

Towers of Notre Dame

Louvre Museum

This is one of the finest museums in the world. The museum is full of classic and modern masterpieces showing the history of France and also the minds of the great kings that reigned over it. The Louvre is surrounded by The Tuileries and Carrousel gardens. These form a public park around the museum and have within them various sculptures to admire.

Opens daily from 9.00-18.00. Opens till 22.00 on Wednesday & Friday evenings.

Arc de Triomphe

From this iconic monument there a some of the most spectacular views of Paris. A monument that was constructed under Napoleon’s instruction depicting the military glory of Paris. It is easily recognisable and from here you can see from the Champs Elysees towards the Louvre. The Arc de Triomphe is also home to a new exhibition showing the arc’s history and is also home to the tomb of the unknown soldier where the flame is lit every night.

Bateaux Parisiens River Cruise

Palace of Versailles

One of the largest castles in the world and the most visited in France. It is also known as the cradle of liberty and it was here that the people of Paris made a stand against king Louis XVI forcing the royal family to leave and move back to the capital city of France.

The castle is surrounded by a number of spectacular groves and gardens and scattered with numerous sculptures and fountains.
